I gave myself nasty elbow tendonitis just simply from overuse. I was climbing 4-5 times per week for 2-3 hours (gym). Now I'm doing 2-3 times per week for 1-2 hours. Haven't had an elbow issue since.

In other news, bought a crash pad yesterday. Incoming bouldering pictures this weekend.

Endless Winter- First Ascent of "Gunslinger" - COLDFEAR

Ice climbing in June. Sometimes I hate living on the east coast. Here's hoping for an awesome ice season this year

Just finished 3 hours of night climbing at Horseshoe tonight after doing 8 during the day. We are moving at pace to do 350 routes between the two of us, but factoring in lines and fatigue hopefully we do 250.

it's starting to sink in now that climbing is a largely mental game. confidence is huge in determining my success and if i tell myself that i'm only going to go halfway on a route, i only go halfway or less.

but it's also starting to sink in that my finger strength is a LOT better and i'm able to do holds that weren't possible before. so that helps my confidence too.

i'm having a lot of fun with this

Boulder "cup" started here today. Preliminary round with 10 routes to climb.
I did 6/10 and advanced to wednesday, which will have another qualification round and saturday will be one more round + finals in the evening.

Lowest who advanced today was 4/10. I knew from last year you'd advance with around 5 routes out of 10 so when I had that I was just chilling mostly saving my hands for wednesday. ... Untill one of my friends came up with this crazy beta for one of the routes, which I ended up cranking untill I finally climbed it for 6/10. Now my hands are in mourning, hopefully fully recovered before the next round (and hopefully my gf will be there with a camera so I can share).

Still in it, did 6/10 on wednesday where 6/10 was where required to advance.
One more round on saturday morning after which the finals in the evening in which top 6 will get to, there will also be invitational climbers on saturday that did not need to go through the first 2 rounds so it's gonna be much harder to get into finals (which is not my goal this year either). I am happy to have made it this far, gonna try to climb my ass of on saturday. But competition is really tough, including Nalle Hukkataival.

Did not make it to finals, no surprises there. Climbed again 6/10 of routes, but then the routes got insanely hard. 9/10 was required to make it to finals of 8 male and 8 females (different routes).

Finals starting in an hour, gonna be blast to see some good climbing.

Red-pointed my first 12c today although I think it was a little soft for the grade. Then got my hand caught in a biner and ripped a decent chunk of skin from between my thumb and index finger .

Comp is this Friday, GoPros are ready, have to carry 2 batteries + a super charger with us to get 24 hours worth of every 10 second stills. Feeling pretty strong at this point, hopefully the hand won't be bad in 5 days.

Was up in seattle this past weekend and there is a water tower up in capitol hill which people apparently like to boulder on. Pumpiest v0 traverse ever, but really fun.

It was a couple weekends ago. We placed 7th overall, partner won Advanced. Was a ton of fun, will definitely do the 12 hour and the 24 hour next year. Still throwing around goals...

150 routes in the 12 hour
All the 5.9s in the canyon
Aim for winning Advanced as a team

A lot will depend on my partner though...
