What's the point, you're only cheating yourself.
But I do "cheat" to train a route, meaning I climb parts of the route separately to practice them, once I feel I've had enough practice I start from the beginning to link the separate parts into one completion. (this is the practice method people practice most routes), if there's a crux I can't do (difficult move) I admit I can't climb the route yet and work on something else.

the progression is quite easy to see whilst climbing, at first there are routes you can't do and as you progress you can then at later stages climb those routes, meaning somehow you've improved. It's a good feeling of accomplishment, which you won't get if you cheat.

Rainbowing is for pussies

Fall like a man (or get your belay to take) and make yourself do it right. Even if you do finish the route rainbowing you won't feel good about it.

I'd say that indoor is in general easier. I've only been to a few gyms that have sandbagged grades.

Bouldered for a couple hours today. Been on a bouldering kick for the past week after top roping only for quite a while. I think top roping made me worse. Good to really test myself with some tougher moves.

Commence boulder phase.

bouldering is just fun. i can only do v1 right now but it's a fun way to kill time.

also it must be noted that i have never seen such a high concentration of fit and attractive women at a gym as i have seen in the few times i have gone climbing...and i have been working out for years. good lord.

Bouldered for a bit today. Really ****ed up my left hip flexor. If I throw my knee out to the side I can feel my hip come out of socket. It's really pleasant.

Finally got outdoors again . Red-pointed my first 12a outdoors and worked some pretty hard 11s. Also got my wife to follow me on some on some of the 11s, she was too chicken to do the roofs on lead.

No, just doing a big (but within my normal range) reach on a boulder problem and just heard/felt this terrible crunch. Heading in to the doctor on Friday so hopefully my leg is still attached by then.

I'm already going through climbing withdrawal.

Had an annual membership for two years there before switching to climb so iLL (much better, tad more expensive though). Definitely worth checking out after your current membership runs out. And yes, climbing chicks are hot

going to your regular doc for a sports inury is useless, i've found

i did the same when i sprained my knee trail running and all i got were some worthless x-rays and a prescription for an anti-inflammatory
