I've been experimenting with vocal effects and such and I'm really interested in what's going on here:


It's subtle, but I kinda like it. I've heard places say slight overdrive? Not really sure. I haven't been playing with vocals and stuff long so I don't really have an ear for it but I know a buttload of you guys do.

I'm listening on shitty speakers at work, but you could probably get a similar effect using compression, modulation, and delay. Or maybe running through a synth and altering the waveform that way, which might be their approach judging by the gear I see in the video and their hipster look. Good tune tho!
 
Sounds like a flanger to me. There's some sort of vocal effects box next to him at the piano. All I really hear is a flanger/chorus effect and some compression. With shitty Youtube audio, it's hard to tell exactly.

I am glad to be part of the buttload.
