think of it as an extended rest for your body

if you know you're going to be in a place with no weights in the future you may want to consider overtraining a bit so you can recover while you're away

Ankle is still swollen like ... a swollen ankle.

So decided to go for a swim today, noticed I was totally out of swimming shape. Spent three hours at the pool and managed to swim 5 miles. (give or take few hundred yards, no mile counters in the pools here, just meters )

I usually ride with people- there is competition to go faster and also someone to talk to, at times

also, when you run you're counting calories every minute and pushing yourself to do it for a beach body

when I'm riding I'm usually just focusing on competition

to be fair though when I used to run it was the same way, but running is more tedious than cycling... and the scenery doesnt change fast enough. I ride in some pretty scenic areas

disagree

to someone running for a beach body or using a treadmill, yeah you're gonna be bored

to someone running to train for an event you find new ways to challenge yourself to avoid boredom

if you're running 20 miles for a marathon you're gonna be bored

in other news it's 91 here and I haven't sweat like this on a bike in a long time (like...since last summer)

Since I have the day off and it's going to be in the 90s again today I took the opportunity to wake up at the crack of dawn and go ride Lair of the Bear with a buddy.
