I've already done PPM and can honestly say when I finished, I was near tears. I've hiked a lot of mountains, but raced only a couple. The Mexican national team was there the year I did it, and leaving Manitou Springs it was them, Matt Carpenter, a couple of guys I didn't recognize, and me. The 12 of us stayed pretty much together until ~10K elevation, at which time I had to let them go. The next 4K to the summit I really wished I was dead. On the way down I lost 2 toenails, didn't give a damn. I finished the thing, but I didn't have fun- I don't think Jesus hanging on the cross suffered the way I did that day. I'm not ever going back. You can't make me. No sir.

saturday: art festival performance in perfect sunny weather at noon, evening little cool down exercise and few beers.

sunday: promo photoshoot 10-13, 14-16 show practises (mainly acrobatics), 16-20 rowing training for the insane 40 mile row I mentioned earlier.

today: I am worn out, but going rock climbing with friends and was hoping to run on my vibrams. (probably gotta skip the running).

My calves are worked from my run yesterday, so just biking to work today. Also might move some furniture around later but probably not until tomorrow. I'm thinking about taking tomorrow off to go climb and ski something, but that's going to depend on who wants to do something.

Weren't you the one that was gonna run 9 miles today? I'm sorry, but while I can think of a lot of things I'd like to do today, running 9 miles in Missouri's Mississippi river valley heat is not one of them. **** that ****.

I think if I lived in that part of the country, night-running would be a program staple for me.

Because I have already skied and climbed Pikes (in that order) and have no interest to run up it from Manitou Springs.

The ride home today was windy as F, SW41G61, had one very short section with a tailwind, otherwise sucked. Was gonna go jog around a park to shake things out from yesterday but might just walk cuz of the wind.

ok so flew into Minneapolis yesterday, got to the hotel and did 45 minutes on the elliptical.

they have no free weights and no machines

****...I'm here all week too, guess I will run and do elliptical stuff and maybe sit ups and pushups in my room

next time, someone remind me to call the damn hotel and ask if they have free weights or machines in their so-called fitness center
