ok so back and biceps and a crap load of abs and such

45 minutes of cardio

I worked out with Tony Horton at a fitness seminar today. We did UML (upper, middle, lower) + cardio in the morning, I burned 1379 calories from my HRM. Then we did an hour of hardcore yoga in the afternoon.

Awesome day.

so on friday I went mountain bike riding for the first time in years, last time I went I was 40lbs heavier and chainsmoked.

HOLY GOD i had no idea how fun this is!

My local trail is a 4.5 mile "beginner to intermediate" loop, I did it 4 times yesterday, got my on and went for 4 more laps. my back is sore, my arms are sore, my legs don't feel like they did anything and according to my heart rate monitor I got a pretty good interval workout.

Avg 146 bpm yesterday, high of 198 (probably when I got in the big ring up a big hill and tried to take one of the jumps someone made, landed beautifully but was going too fast to avoid slamming into a tree trunk and somersaulting over the handlebars. Passed probably 3 dozen people throughout the afternoon. On my road bike my strongest skill is sprinting by far, I think it translates really well into mtb. I kinda wanna try a race now

I'm going again in a bit- it's almost 90 and muggy, I'm gonna sweat my ass off.

speaking of muggy christ its muggy here too...today was legs and of course I also did abs and cardio

felt nice and my bum feels all warm and such now

hooray! next is a couple cardio days and then the circuits...my damn schedule is all jacked up because of working in LA all week and missing a couple days :/

oh well

and...

52 seriously? that guy is in awesome shape I hope I look that good in the many years into the future it will take before I hit 52

ran 8 miles this morning and had a serious case of the trots when i hit mile 3

thankfully i was able to run off the road and into a dry creek bed and take a ****

wiping with leaves is always fun

surfed from 2 to 6 off and on, swam, limited myself to one beer and one cup of hop-skip-and-go-naked

I can't believe you people that run\street bike. Sounds terrible.

You're still flexible enough for all that stuff (V-ups - L-sit) ?

ive got some nice blisters out of it but i feel like ive made good progress.

i was going to run a 5k race last weekend but im going to train in them more and run one at the end of july

the 4 mile run was awesome. beautiful day (80 and low humidity with a slight breeze) and if it weren't for gradual adjustment in my VFFS i might've run a couple miles more just for fun
