They saw the thread and a couple of douches were talking about cheating.

I guess it was assumed then that TW 'cheated' and they DQ'ed him then.

now we need a stalker to cross reference the employees at the dealership with the wedding party and find the link.

I think telos would like to try to accomplish as much as possible without falling into guerrilla tactics. You guys are way too quick to jump to actions that could ultimately undermine any legitimate efforts that are made to fix this. It does us no good to make Feldmann the victim.

He's still waiting on responses from Feldmann and (sort of) from the contest administration people. Until we know what kind of position Feldmann is going to take, it's in our interest to not harass them.

He's also dealing with a fiance who is overwhelmed with people angry on her behalf and just wants this shit to be over. There are enough people angry about this that he can afford not to be.

^^this.

Do not release the hounds quite yet.

edit: also can I get the info on the contest organizer....i live in Cali it might be close enough to visit.

Feldman is only going to ask the organizers. The organizers are going to say "they cheated"..... Feldman is going to contact telos back and say, "you cheated, k thx bi"

So all we needed to do was have people post here for the other team and say "Hey lets cheat!"
And now that large effort of honest people get ripped away by a few bad eggs.
You can't control the world. He shouldn't be held responsible for some peoples actions. he never endorsed any cheating. he actively went to stop it.

What's the information we have on the contest holders? This is obviously the people that we should be bombarding.

We should bombard the top people(nissan mercedes) and let it trickle down. Email/phone both companies saying "i was in the market for(nissan or mercedes car/truck), and after hearing about this i would like to take my business to another manufacturer that doesn't exploit its customers for publicity." in a worldwide recession like this it will get noticed sooner or later when sales have been "lost"

I have next week off of work (spring break) let me know if there is anything I can do...like go to random pay phones and call them all day long while seeing how long I can keep them on the line.

I kept seeing this mentioned time and time again. I can partially speak regarding Mercedes, as my husband works for their US corporate headquarters in the Customer Assistance Center. Ultimately, the dealership is independently owned and operated, and MBUSA has little control over their operation. Sure, they can stop giving cars to that dealer, but that doesn't mean they won't still sell used cars from auction or trade ins, so they may still have Mercedes in their dealer name. But my understanding is that, the reaction you will get from calling/emailing MBUSA is "we will document your concerns and contact the dealer." But I'm not sure what much would come from that. Sure, you could "take your business elsewhere," but while economy car manufacturers are hurting tremendously in the US, MBUSA is not hurting nearly as much - sure, they didn't make record sales last year like they had the last 14 years running, but they were down only about 2% or so.

Point being, you can attempt to call and email, but don't expect results from just that. The best bet for any type of reaction is to go to the local media - the consumer advocate in the area, the "Help Me" person on the local news stations, letters to the editors, etc etc., and then broaden it to the larger media if necessary.

I'm not sure what the reaction would be from Nissan, given they are probably hurting a lot more than MBUSA. But my guess is you would get the same reaction, that the dealers are independently owned and operated.

no one named feldmann?

that's strange.

the founder terry feldmann is quite old and retired, one of my co-workers went to school with him. yeah my co-worker is old too.

His daughter is now the operating owner. Her e-mail isn't public for fairly obvious reasons.
