I've really got the priest thing going.
 
It's a cartographer waypoint.

You click on, or create an item on the map then click "set waypoint" and it will point you in the direction of your waypoint.
 
Yeah, it's cartographer combined with the Lightheaded add-on, which links your quest log with wowhead.com.

There will often be waypoints included in the wowhead comments and descriptions which I can simply click on and get directions.
When the map is closed it also gives distance and estimated arrival time.

that's awesome, i'll have to check it out. i normally use wowhead for quests anyhow.
