two problems

1)
i replaced my mobo, cpu sempron 2300 and ram 256mb ddr2700.

but my hd's partitions (winxp + 98) dont get recognized.

the bios recognizes the HD but it doesnt get read during the boot process.

i was able to access the recovery thingy and formated both partitions. but it didnt help. i guess i need a new hd :shrug:

2) i upgraded because either my mobo or cpu died and i would get a black screen when i booted.

however now i seem to be having the same problem again after booting about 100 times unsuccessfully. i gbuess ill try removing my praphics card which might be broke.

doesn't not don't

and i usually recommend reformatting your HD(s) when you upgrade your mobo. stuff just never seems to work properly until you do.
 
When you switch out the MB, it usually means you have to reinstall Windows.

I think you need to start over with a low level format from dos, then put windows on there.

i formatted but the HD still dont get read! so i cant install shit because theres a "problem" with the hard drive. even when i boot with my xp cd it wont let me in stall it due to some HD error which results in the "blue screen of death"
