ok..this is something we tribers are not that familiar with but its about
biggest netgaming tournament ever arranged with prizemoney over 600k $..

..and it was cancelled during the event!

Plus they released a patch during the tournament.
And Valve didn't give any support.

apparently it was because the tourny was so poorly organized nothing got done. There are a couple more articles on the site from different people.

+ 100k $ worth of prize equipment were stolen...

so i guess main sponsors AMD, ATI & MS got little 'pissed'

...they then proceeded to make Mich and Psicotic1 of TWL pick up the pieces.

The thing was a complete trainwreck overall, and cXg is probably going to go the way of the dinosaurs after this.

The event completely lacked security and any kind of organization whatsoever because the person they had in charge was a complete moron.

Sprint didn't help when they failed to deliver 4 T1 lines, too. Had they done that, Steam wouldn't have been an issue. Instead they delivered 4 ADSL lines.

there are no gigabit internet connections unless you're a backbone ISP connecting to another backbone
