please stupid newb, I was playing Base long before you. So what I played Ren and Shifter my first year in T1, I think my 2 years in Base > my 1 year in Shifter.

hrmph, i run in 1024 x 768 and i have the new borders
and i dont see the filtermsg :( ever ..

i noticed it when i was in a server with 28 people, it started gettin choppy when i skiied
i norm get 70-100 fps

im guessing shin edited his chatbg and those nrg/life bars are always like that

its not mavs rez, i just changed mine to 640 480 and the health/nrg didnt have the old border things

mav do u have any .bmps or vol files in ur base folder??

cuzif u left um in there they will still open
(even if ya renamed skins dir)

Mav: It looks like you messed up the install. Apparently you have some of the old viking pack loading with 4.0

Try installing it on a clean Tribes install.

i deleted my config folder
extracted the zip to my Tribes folder
edited the needed files (preferences.cs, loadouts.cs etc)

Thats it. I left all my other skins, and overwrote any new ones that VP created.
 
The energy/life bars are a skin...did I misread your post, or did you not overwrite them with the ones in vp 4.0?
 
Check your BASE folder for bmp files starting with HH. Delete them.

This is awesome except for one thing: I run this long enough and it just crashes, where my normal Tribes (all z0dd) never has done that.
 
k i fixed the bad huds problem

now the only thing left is

why oh why, does it drastically slow down when I ski? I get a fine 40 fps normally, but when I ski it drops down to like, 15 or less ;\
