Anyone have any experience with shooting a fully automatic rifle? Unfortunately, I have not had that chance.
Curious if I would be able to fire that many rounds in the same amount of time without any physical issues to my upper body and having no experience with shooting automatic weapons.

He followed up that last gem with this.

He continues to comment on equality by saying: "Furthermore, when citizens are all almost equal, it becomes difficult for them to defend their independence against the aggressions of power. As none of them is strong enough to fight alone with advantage, the only guarantee of liberty is for everyone to combine forces. But such a combination is not always in evidence. - Alexis de Tocqueville

wait, but he got shot
after you get shot or get sick you are supposed to be more about feelz than human rights and reason based logic
i just don't get it man.......he got shot and almost died
that is when you are supposed to cut and run and turn your back on everything you ever lived for and every principle you ever said you subscribed to (like John McCain)

The hotel security guard getting shot through the door voids any theory of anyone else in the room. Unless that person has wings and flew out the window

No experience and those bullets would be all over the place. Fully experienced and those bullets would be all over the place.
It was the mass of people that made him effective.
IMO a experienced shooter with just a semi-auto would have had way more deaths. Less rounds but more effective fire

They're illegal and require a 10k tax. Mythbusters and Sons of Guns could do it.
Paddock fired so many rounds the smoke detector was set off in his room. That's one way they found him, besides the person directly under his room calling the front desk.

to qualify as expert marksmen you have to be able to hit a Zulu human shaped target @ 300m with just your iron sights in military
this guy shot a larger than 40' x 40' grid at 1200 ft away from a top down angle of trajectory.
anyone who has watched old D-Day films knows that this is ultimate lethality situation and even when you get down on the ground, duck and cover, and crawl your target size silhouette doesn't provide you cover anymore.
pack that area with some 20k people and it is like fish in a barrel. this is actually a low kill count considering all of that.....

That first guy fires it, I'm thinking, "wow, not as jumpy as I was expecting. Looks smooth."
Second guy states this is his first time - looks like its all over the place. haha

It seems like they were all modified to be fully automatic. The only way to really shoot without it spraying all over the place is by grounding the gun somewhere, and I assume he did most of the shooting with that bipod mounted automatic rifle.
Its obvious he shot the other guns too, at least three probably, because of the stop and starts and volume changes heard in the audio and video. The first one probably jammed when it got too hot, and he used the others, and he was less accurate with them.
So he went back to the first, which might have cooled, and used it to shoot the guy through the door, then went back in and shot himself, probably with the same one.
It seemed like he used the color difference in the stadium below to aim his bursts, and he shot at the fence, or along that one fence line repeatedly, as you can hear the rounds strike the metal as he sweeps back and forth (bipod mounted gun.)
This shouldn't affect the 2nd amendment at all. A lot of the gear these guys are coming up with is seeming to point to some odd sales and transactions being made to generate and amass it. Maybe he's just a collector, like Jeffery Alan Lash was a dry run to create this type of combination and mix of weapons.
The US doesn't want you guns, China wants your guns because you are damn hard to kill armed the way you are.

i enjoyed that too
spray and pray
that is why they don't encourage anyone to use full auto to hit something. just as a supressive firing technique and to keep enemy forces from advancing or gaining position. because nobody is dumb enough to charge a machine gun since ww1.
what a waste of ammo......burst modes of 3 shots, as slogg put it pages back, is as close and best that anyone would want when aiming.

and then to purchase the dumb auto gun is usually over 10k
because the sellers know how rare they are now
but then again this guy had 20 something guns (totaling over 100k) that he didn't use in his room
so money doesn't matter i suppose

oh the (((rosenthals))) and (((Feinsteins))) want our guns alright
there is no secret in that
UK Embraces Pre-Crime - Brits Face 15 Years In Prison For Watching "Terrorist Material"
with the 2nd Amendment it is proving so damn hard to take away the 1st amendment to the levels that UK, Australia, and next Canada have
it has to go before they can successfully go more draconian on us
otherwise they will remain more scared of us than we are of them (and their ironic reconciled carry and armed security protection)

I have a fair amount of exp with different auto weapons. No, there wouldn't be any physical issues. This guy was actually firing kind of slow, thats why you could tell he was using something like a bump fire or a crank trigger. A full auto weapon has a much faster, crisper rate of fire.
He was probably relatively accurate but accuracy was never his issue. He firing into a meat bowl. The optics he had on the rifles weren't really for that kind of distance, but probably didn't hurt

And this is where things don't add up.
According to the ATF and FBI as of last nights press conference none of the weapons he purchased where Class III.
Bump-stocks and gat cranks don't make the weapons automatic, I'm not sure why this myth keeps being repeated by the media.

any optics for that rate of fire is silly
you can't really scope with a bumpfire
that silly red dot projection site might have been more than enough.....assuming he even used that

Arms deal gone bad? Or Arms deal gone horribly right.
He might of thought he was safe with all the cameras, instead of meeting with rich rag heads wanting to buy guns he's greeted by spooks. What motive do you need other than it's good for business, especially if you're in the business of selling full-body scanners and wanting to turn the US into a highly censored police state.
any politicians demanding more censorship on the internet yet?
until the footage of him actually pulling the trigger is released that's the movie script that I'm going with.
