I put $1k in a wallet on coinbase a few days ago to join the game. I'm hoping that by the time the monies clear cryptos will have dropped bottom and I can hop on in time for a nice gain.

I***8217;m curious how people think a currency that people had to do little work for then force it out as a standard is going to be valuable in future. See to me that***8217;s the moral problem. Nerds do crunching on hardware they didn***8217;t make and it***8217;s worth a monetary value.

Good for you if you can make cash on it though....

What do the fed and banks "make" to print money?

A paper dollar is totally ****in meaningless too, ultimately. It's just backed by a legitimate economy which is in turn protected by a government and military. And it's stable, and in widespread general use. That's why these cryptos aren't currencies. Yet?

As opposed to the FED running printing factories 24/7 to print cash with 0 backing it?

well, technically it is backed by debt. the fed doesn't print money and give it away, they loan it.
