That's worse than what happened to Laurie. That guy is going to be in the hospital for at least 10 days, need multiple surgeries, and therapy.
Laurie crashed 2 months ago, and she's doing therapy now. Her arm can move but it doesn't bend all the way up or go straight, no grip strength.
In his case, he'll need to file an insurance case against the trucking company to get enough money to pay the hospital bills and get a new bike.

Split rim wheels have not been installed on heavy trucks since the early 1980's. It is illegal to have them on an on highway vehicle. Unless this was a very old gravel truck I call bull****.

Yep, since the accident, we notice all the accidents. I turn on local news and it's all about car crashes or chases. Laurie tells me to turn it off, she can't take it. When you hear about someone being air lifted to a hospital, it's serious, they probably need surgery and they're going to be there for at least 10 days.
At the hospital they told us they get 1-2 air lifted people a week. You can hear it on the PA system when someone is coming in, they announce it so trauma can get ready.
As for insurance, car only covers 10k for medical, which is used up in a flash if it's an emergency trauma. Need to make that higher and have medical insurance from work which we did. Everything goes through the car insurance first, then work medical.

Human life is value-less in Florida. The EMTs must have checked his wallet for proof of insurance, credit cards, etc. or they would have shoveled his ass into the ditch for the gators and snakes.

I used to change them on earthmovers in the mid 90's. I was **** scared of them, especially when inflating and trying to seal the bead.

3 piece split ring wheels haven't been around for a long time. Wheels with locking rings are still around.

Juggz shouldn't have been in the fast lane. This isn't really a debate unless you're a moron. How was he getting passed by a ****ing 1970's dumb truck?
However, all idiots on bikes know the risks of driving on a two-wheeled death machine, let alone without gear.
He shouldn't have been riding next to any vehicle for any significant amount of time, regardless of having to pass the moron going slow in the fastlane.

You made up the whole story so if you want to believe you can chug along in far left lane of make believe land, knock yourself out. You really need to work on the details when your making **** up. If your imaginary motorcyclist dies, you only have your imaginary stubbornness to blame.
