I have a set of these for mixing. Good choice.

I also use Sony MDR7506's because I know them well.

Beyerdynamic are also a good choice. I normally don't recommend them because Beyer has high ohm choices that if most your standard listeners got they would not be happy and never like them.

AKG are good I prefer Sennheisers mid range over them but to each their own... you are in the wheelhouse you want to be.

Calling Sennheiser's trash is the most ignorant thing I have heard all day.

I use Adam A7x monitors in my studio and a bunch of different headphones... Senn HD800, AKG Q701, Shure SRH940, Beyer DT990's and a bunch of mid grades.

I've owned many pairs of mid-grade to high-end senns and beyers. the only senns I would say are really awesome are the hd800s. Almost every beyer I've ever owned, from the dt770 80 ohms to the dt1770s and the t1 second gen I've loved. so yeah, senns aren't trash, but I've owned quite a few senns, and easily can say that beyers have been better sounding to me. of course, this is all opinion.
