the lateran obelisk. rome is full of them. this is the largest one in the world. i live pretty close.

statue of marcus aurelius on the capitoline hill. lots of cray shit happened on this hill. the only reason this statue wasnt destroyed by christian assholes is because they thought it was actually constantine



santa maria maggiore. this is one of the oldest places of christian worship in rome. took this pic because they are athenian columns and i get a kick out of how recycling works.

went there for a day or two back in 2005 when i was backpacking

ya its an awesome city but too expensive right now. the next trip i make will either be syracuse or ravenna

we go 2 breakfast one morning far from hotel and my parents get case of wine so i have 2 carry it around rome as we do site seeing all day

the good news is bottles of wine are $2 here

i am a tour guide. the best option for expats in italy is to teach english but i dont give a shit if someone learns english or not. i like telling people about the history of the city and antiquity. it doesn't pay well and i might look back at this decision in a year and be like : fuk

would like to get involved with American Institute for Roman Culture or work for the vatican, even if they do touch kids

I usually like all Frontline stuff. But it's good when it's discussing Ratzingers limitations as a Pope and the politics of the roman curia
