So you think that making up a scenario, then posing a question based on an impossibility in that scenario, and basing your requirement to actually pose a rational argument, on solving that impossibility, is a viable debate tactic to somehow give an illusion of relevance to your obviously retarded version of a religion? I'm pretty sure the tenants of atheism are the sciences. (I know, I'm stretching it here but fuck you I wanna play too.) Some pretty horrid shits been done in the name of science as well. No one is perfect, no belief or lack thereof can shield you from humanity.

By the virtue of what defines atheism, the lack of God, you won't find an event or person who carries it out "because there is no God".


However, you will find plenty of very prominent events in recent history that were committed in a very worldly spirit and for reasons that certainly fall into the same realm of atheism.

Hitler is credited with killing 3 million people for the cause of National Socialism. Stalin directly executed more then half a million people (not counting those who died indirectly due to his terror campaign) to purge Communist Russia of dissidents and Pol Pot (of Cambodia) engaged in open genocide to eliminate from his country more then 1/5th of his native population (more then 1.5 million people, some say closer to 2.5 million).

All of these people died from out right humanistic reasoning and not for a Godly cause at all. All within the last 80 years. Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot all claim to have done their deeds in the name of humanity by culling human civilization of it's imperfect elements.


In short, human beings have been killing each other for all of it's history and have used every excuse under the sun to do it. Religion has certainly been a popular one, but Atheism is relatively new dogma and yet it's certainly off too a grisly start, chalking up some impressive numbers despite its short time on the worlds stage.

All I have to do it point to countless non-religious leaders who committed genocide. That's the only tenant of atheism, no belief in God.

You can't say that it's not atheism's fault, but at the same time, make some magical connection to religions that self-proclaimed followers whom blatantly disobey their religion, and then say that it's the religion's fault.

What Christian tenant told the self-proclaimed Pope to push the Crusades?
What Christian tenant told them to reclaim Jerusalem?
What Christian tenant says commit genocide against anyone who isn't a Pope-following Catholic?
What Christian tenant even mentions a Pope existing in the first place?

What you retards always forget is the same thing over and over. It has nothing to do with religion or lack thereof. People will find any excuse to persecute and murder each other, whether it be jealousy, hate, revenge, greed, political gain, power, money, whatever. This is what we do.

Religious itself is for the weak in spirit/mind. This is why poor people are commonly more religious. They have nothing else to turn to. For most, it gives a sense of hope that otherwise they would not have any of (which I think is good). Can it be abused? Yep, just like everything else.

Are all religions perfect? Fuck no. A vast majority are insane and sickening. If a religion said to murder your neighbors if you want their land, what type of fucking retard would actually follow it? I tell you who, the same type of retard that would murder his neighbor for his land WITHOUT religion telling him to.

Show me the Crusades and I can show you millions upon millions of more deaths that have nothing to do with religion.

That, one of the 10 Commandments, is actually phrased 'Thou shall not murder'. Not 'kill'. Murder being an unlawful killing. The OT is filled with military actions by the Jews, acting under orders from God.

you've pointed out no one killed int he name of atheism, or because atheism demanded killing or spreading the dogma. in short, no one committed these atrocities because they were an atheist.

you point out some famous mass murderers. all good

well colour me confused because you haven't explained this connection. i can leap forward a post and you can point out that with the exception of hitler, these evil men were atheists but they did not commit their atrocities because they were an atheist.

well when you leave the old testament out, which seems to convenient to me in light of the fact more people seem to be arguing points these days (creation, homosexuality) based on shit in there, the pope controlled a sect of christianity. you may have heard of "catholics" it's kind of a thing.

anyhow i'm sure someone else will point out the difference to you (again) and you won't get it (again) and it will result in a bunch of wasted disk space somewhere.
