If you could read the many threads about SS, a lot of people are talking about Tribes and the connection with SS.

Now the way it was implimented is probably not what some thought it would be but everything they talked about at the Tribes Council IS in T:V. Small Maps, very fast movement, sport like gameplay (read that as deathmatch style), easy skiing/jetting, very small buildings/bases, no vehicles or vehicles that were of little use, ect... In otherwords everything the opposite of T2.

I saw a bad moon risin right then.
I was just as bitchy and whiny about it.
I just didn't post to TW about it.
I ignored it.
I still hated it in the open beta. I liked the demo more. I kept playing, but being constantly annoied by missing things and oddnesses. Meh... kepts playing anyway.
Then I realized that I was having fun.
I was confused... I was being all growly about it, but I was enjoying playing. Then it dawned on me... "Oh yeeeeeeah! This is a different game."
It's not T2. I'd love to see something as epic as a full blown T2 sequal. You know... doing the things that made that game so appealing to a broad base, but ramping it UP! Despite the groaning from the T1 vets, I suspect that it would be a much more popular title.
In the mean time, I've got T:V. It's not as deep, but it does provide some good 'ol white knuckle action.
