Actually the first lady is considered a part of the executive branch and the US Court of appeals has labelled them as de facto federal officials. Her promoting any specific product, service, or business would be the exact same ethical violation.

- Profiting off of the world's most absurdly bloated military
- Huge subsidiaries for fossil fuels and agriculture
- The war on drugs and the keeping of recreational drugs illegal so we can keep those prisons nice and full and big pharma nice and happy
- Religious agenda, in particular being able to tell women what they can and can't do with they bodies and being able to tell people who they can and can't marry
- Etc, etc, etc...
All of these can also be attributed to the Clinton era democrats
