I can understand why he may have thought that. At my first glance at their ****ty web interface - I was just skimming for WPA/WPA2 and this is the main setting you see:
Of course - if you read the little blurb above WEP - or said WTF **** that where is my WPA2? You look to the left and see Advanced Wireless settings and you're like yeah **** that basic overview bull****. Once you click on that you find this:
And normally - if you're set for WEP - which is what the techs do by default unless they are smart - you see this Wireless Status screen but the WPA2 field isn't even there. So once again - if it supported it - you'd expect to see WPA2 OFF - but it just isn't there if it's off.
