2020 US elections: voter turnout or Pelosi turnoff?

Let’s be honest. The Democratic leadership is too old. Yes, accuse me of ageism, but the fact is that the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, is 79. The House Democratic Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer, is 80 and the Democratic Majority Whip, Jim Clyburn, will be 79 in a couple of days.

All are older than the average life expectancy in the United States, which stood at 78.7 years in 2018.

With age comes wisdom and experience. No doubt. But with age also comes a greater commitment to the status quo, because the older we get, the more we have to lose from change.

She quickly lasered in on the chief architect of the Green New Deal, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (29), and her young freshmen colleagues in the House, partly in a fit of “feminist envy” and, of course, because they were a threat to the status quo and the way things are done.

Pelosi also surrendered to the Senate Majority leader, Republican Mitch McConnell, when she deleted language from the $4.6 billion border funding bill of the House that demanded to “protect migrant children,” only so that the tired, aging lawmakers could go home for the 4th of July.

Who cares about principles, when you want to take time off? The border bill passed and, of course, it was rightly opposed by the young Democratic “troublemakers.”

Bernie Sanders (77), another near-octogenarian top contender for the Democratic nomination for president, said a couple of days ago that Nancy Pelosi was “a little bit” too tough on Ocasio-Cortez.

Of course, Joe Biden the apparent front-runner of the Democratic race, who would be 78 by the time he swears the oath of office, if elected, is largely silent on the matter. He is still reveling in the good old days, when he, as a young member of the Senate, civilly struck deals with his Segregationist colleagues.

But, let me equally clear: If Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders become the nominee of the Democratic Party and if Nancy Pelosi and her “experienced” friends continue their assault on real change promoted by fresh, young minds, I will not vote on Election Day in 2020. Enough is enough.

Let Donald Trump and the Republican Party win and move this country even further towards a failed state. Democrats will bear responsibility for this descent. This time it will be the old guard that has to live with that responsibility

That would be ideal and actually how our government is intended to operate. We are supposed to be middle of the road. Both parties are supposed to lose on negotiated deals. It is supposed to be give and take. They are supposed to work together.

When was the last time the government operated that way?

So now we are forced to battle for clear winners and losers.. and joke all you want but we are at the brink of civil war. I don't think it will look anything like the wars we have seen so far. This one will be different.

Here is some fodder to use to laugh at me but I believe it will be pockets of insurgency. Enough to disrupt transportation and with food shortages.. everything falls apart fast.

Laugh it up fuzzball

Also do a little bit of research and check to see what kind of cargo is being transported by rail these days.

Anything you fucking want from Ammonia nitrate to arms, grenades, rockets, military equipment, radioactive materiel.. 1 stop shop

"Move this country even further towards a failed state"?
WTF? What are these people smoking?
This is a goddamned glorious country.
Trump is so right - these folks should go do a stint in some "real" failed countries and report back. If they survive. Especially the womenz and children.

Many are so heavily invested in Trump being bad for the country that there is no other option. It has to fail and be Trump's fault. They are willing to help destroy the country to be right.

soo many poor people screaming about shit that they dont have time to work OT at starbucks to afford their 3600 condo downtown so they can be closer to the art scene.

First they have to increase taxes until the jobs market stagnates and the economy crashes and it mirrors the Obama presidency.. then it will be like a failed state

That is what they mean

 Failed state. That's a good one. I think Trump is on to it.

I would GLADLY pay a little more to fund a "Foreign Exchange -1" program. Meaning, I would gladly give a bit extra to pay for the relocation of unhappy Americans to other countries.

Call it the Ejector Seat option. Everyone gets a one time chance to push the button and GTFO.
Or - let people use what they have paid into Social Security to do the above. (pretty cool - if you want - you can access some of your SS early to leave. The remainder is forfeited and put back into the pool for others)

For instance, Venezuela, anywhere in South America, Canada, Africa, Greece, Sweden, Australia, Switzerland, Russia, GB, etc.

Here ya go - 1 way ticket - GTFO and go see what it's like. Enjoy your trip!

Robert Mueller, William Barr rebuked by judge in case of Russia company Concord - Washington Times

A federal judge has chastised former special counsel Robert Mueller and Attorney General William Barr for stating that the Russian government was behind election year social media trolling when there is no evidence presented by prosecutors.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge Dabney L. Friedrich culminated a secret legal battle between the Justice Department and the Russian firm Concord Management and Consulting LLC.

The judge this month began unsealing legal briefs and transcripts, which reveal that the release of Mr. Mueller’s 448-page report and Mr. Barr’s public statements triggered Concord attorney Eric A. Dubelier to seek contempt proceedings against both.

Mr. Dubelier said Mr. Mueller prejudiced a potential jury by stating that the Kremlin ran the social media campaign, which the federal government says Concord funded. That connection isn’t contained in the special counsel’s February 2018 indictment against Concord.

“That’s not alleged in the indictment primarily because there is no evidence to support that it was. There is none,” Mr. Dubelier told the judge at a closed May 28 hearing for which a transcript was just unsealed.

“In short, the Court concludes that the government violated [the rule known as] 57.7 by making or authorizing the release of public statements that linked the defendants’ alleged activities to the Russian government and provided an opinion about the defendants’ guilt and the evidence against them,” Judge Friedrich said.

Hmmmmm... this statement:

Speaking with "Fox News Sunday" ahead of Mueller's highly anticipated congressional testimony on Wednesday, Nadler added that "we have to let Mueller present those facts to the American people and then see where to go from there, because the administration must be held accountable, and no administration can be above the law."

Since when do Socialistas / Commiecrats care about the law? Especially when it comes to enforcing our immigration laws?

 you cant make this shit up
