What type of food do you like? You are a few blocks away from two decent sushi restaurants, Umi Sake House and Shiro's. If you want better sushi, Sushi Kashiba (Shiro's new restaurant, old one no longer associated). El Gaucho is real close for steaks. Pink Door is a Seattle classic, but not my favorite -- a lot of people love it though. Those are all pretty close to you.
I like pretty much all of the Tom Douglas restaurants, Serious Pie and Palace Kitchen probably being my two favorites of his. Those are walking distance. If you want fresh PNW seafood Walrus and the Carpenter or Westward are probably my two favorites but they aren't walking distance from where you are staying.
If you want something for lunch Matt's in the Market is good, but can be spendy. Skillet has probably the best chicken sandwich in the state. Salumi has great Italian style sandwiches. Tat's Deli has good east coast style grinders/cheesesteaks. Biscuit ***** is great breakfast. Paseo's or Un Bien for good Cuban food.
As for what to do before dinner, depends on what you like. You won't have enough time to really get outside of the city, so you are kinda stuck doing all the touristy ****. Pike Place, Seattle Center, EMP, etc. All of that stuff is fine. You should try to get some tickets to the Falcons vs Seahawks game on Monday night.
This is all stuff just off the top of my head, if you give me more specific **** you like I can help out more..
