TBH I wish I had the problem of putting on weight. It would make everything a lot easier. The one thing I don't understand is how you guys seem to all want to put on weight or look bigger but almost all of you use a 5x5 type of regime. Try to knock it to 3x10. The weights will go down a lot but you will bulk up a million times faster.

also don't overtrain (can never be said too much)
no you won't fam

low rep high weight is the quickest way to add mass

high rep low weight just chisels you

however, losing fat and cutting up can definitely make you think you're gaining a lot of mass quickly

Odd, everything I have read states the opp.

Not that it matters. I am switching to 5x5 in a week anyways for a month or so.

Did 3x8 for a month and a half then did 3x10 and noticed huge differences...so I figure going down to 5x5 to get strength then work back up to 10 with that weight makes sense. (short background I am just getting back into bodybuilding from back when i was a soph in college)

btw nappal, what state do you live in?

Really wanting to slim down my love handles. I have a decent diet going and am working out 5 days a week with weights but doing no cardio. I think this week I'm going to switch to running a couple days a week, if anyone has any specific love handle targeting techniques let me know..

Liposuction.

there is no way to target fat loss. You'll want to lower your overall body fat percentage, keep track of what you're eating and how much cardio you're doing and make sure you are burning more calories in a day than you are consuming. Might want to up the cardio IMO 2 days it will take a long time to see noticeable results and depending on what type of cardio you're doing and how long you're doing it... it may not even be enough to see results at all. Look in to High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) for your cardio.

yesterday was my chest day and I did those around the world things where you make snow angels on a flat bench with weights in your hands

I moved up in weight and ****ed up my right shoulder...so I am unhappy

I think cutting will make your deltoids show up more by really seperating the bicep/tricep and shoulder from one another

i wouldn't worry about your love handles since you're already really lean

try packing some weight on then cutting again

love handles and lower stomach is the last place of fat for me too its really tough to get past it

try more core workouts and oblique work to tighten them up

i have terrible shoulders anyway so i know i can't **** around like that

i have to really strain to do delt work because my shoulder likes to pop in and out of place
