Tribes: Vengeance is 14 times more popular than Midair

I gave it a few hours of play, but the number of people dropped too low a few days after closed beta started.

People that were playing during that time were trying to figure it out or were in the alpha, the people that seemed to have played for awhile already were doing stuff like chain capping practiced routes or standing at the other teams base in heavy mowing people down with the chaingun.

They just wanted pub stomp people, I am sure lots of people that didn't play tribes before were too frustrated to keep playing. Only server with people on it was the newbie server after the first day.

whats up with the high people get with tribes games failing?

like yeah, I'm bored of the game atm. I've been waiting for some balance changes and things like flag iff toggles for a while and the current game got a little stale for me.
I also think classic base is a bad design choice to replicate and it will probably be the death of the game. But as a "triber" the game is fun enough for me to enjoy more than most games.

I can get frustrated that certain things haven't been addressed yet, but I haven't reached the point where I'm hoping the game fails just to smite the dev team.

i dont think anyone wants the game to fail just to spite the devs. no one in the thread said anything about the devs.

imo the devs could be everyones most hated ex-girlfriends turned transexual nazi vampires from hell and people will still play the game if its good and balanced and the community isn't toxic

altho better communication certainly wouldn't hurt the games success

It has potential.

Needs Q spotting and grapple hook, IMO.

Item selection UX (turrets and such) needs some work.

Maps should be marked with WIP if they are not finished and there should be servers that only use final maps... Way too many unfinished maps in rotation; maybe they should just have a dev hosted server for all the unfinished maps to get feedback instead.

Game will run on a Core 2 Duo with 4GB of ram and a 9800+.

skiing feels good. gameplay feels pretty good. scale is pretty good. it's not a bad game at all.

base needs to be expanded.

the player models are shit, i really don't like them, but i also don't give a shit about that, as long as the mechanics are good.

personally, i think most of the hate from the tw crowd is because they are a bunch of old men that can't play tribes like they used to anymore, so they refuse to support or allow another tribes-like game to exist for anyone else.

No one is playing it because it fucking sucks.

Stop trying to make other excuses for it. It's so bad. I can open T1 and fly around any map i choose and haven't opened it since TW:W. Once you pass the learning curve, it's like riding a bike. It'll take you a few minutes if you haven't done it in 30 years, but it's simple to regain.

This game is shit.

I see why the t2 players can enjoy it. Cuz it feels exactly like legions.

It's currently in closed beta Early Access. Open beta is still slated for this year but I'm not holding my breath. Full release sometime in Q1 2018.

The game was heavily focused on LT as their working primary and it is already dead as a whole.

There are massive glaring problems with the game that will never be fixed or addressed.

Any comments/feedback from the community will be ignored.

At the incredibly slow and necrotic pace they are moving at, nothing will change or improve.

Good thing there are lots of decent games to play.
