In other news I just bought a mint condition old Olympus 50mm 1.8 lens to stick onto my digital once I get an adaptor to suit. (the 'made in japan' version)
Supossed to be a nice portrait lens so we will see how the thing goes.
(not that I ever post any pics or anything anyway)

i have the nikon 50 1.8D on my d90 and i love it.
i think it's actually the cheapest lens nikon makes, and it's been one of my favorites of all the ones i've used so far. and yes, it's quite nice and making people look good (all my lady friends love it because it makes them look less ugly
This lens actually rates as sharp on centre frame at f5.6 as the newest ultra sharp 50 macro which a lot of people use for portraits. I have just had to forgo auto focus and aperture but I can deal with that np. If I open her up to 1.8 the sharpness drop off will be just about right I think.
There is a time and a place for tack sharp images - and it aint when taking pictures of a lady's face.

I shot 2 rolls of film in Seattle this weekend. I will make with the developing tomorrow night.
use to be $1.25 a pack and just about every restaurant had one near the bathroomsposted in another thread, but Daniel Medini Gallery has pictures from trips in the past 2 months

P.S. CosmicBlend there's something alive and beautiful about your photography that I really aspire towards. The colours are processed extremely well and I like the new website. Nicely done.
Are you using single-image HDR for a lot of them? or is it mostly lighting setups with LightRoom colour presets?

Taken a couple of months ago in Morocco.
Backpacking on the Great Wall last week.
