You asked about average, so were going to make a few assumptions. The most common yacht for rent is probably the smallest. The wiki page says anything under 10 metres is not a yacht. So, we will use 33ft as the length. Yachts need to be driven around on trailers, and they need to follow road laws to do so. Without special permitting, they can be up to 8.5ft. So, using the following equation:
Number of people = vessel length (ft.) x vessel width (ft.) ÷ 15
33*8.5/15=18.7 people is the recommended max.
Engineers usually way over compensate and add in an extra 100% tolerance for safety, so that gives 37.4 people before it sinks.
So, 1 captain and 36 prostitutes to sink an average yacht.
