anyway STILL doesn't explain why their scores are going up. the only feasible explanation i can imagine is the other groups are all actually going down but the test has been renormed to keep the average the same, so that asians (while performing the same) appear to have gotten better. but i somewhat doubt sat scores are trending down that far when iq scores are presently trending up

this is largely how i feel as well
my only analogy is that we are a collection tank
getting hot water from Asia
getting cold water from Mexico
and our education system is at best luke warm (which we shall call room temp)
so the results sort of make sense to me thinking of it in that regard.....
because it is all proportional to flow rates
African immigrants are more educated than most â***8364;***8221; including people born in U.S. - Los Angeles Times
Immigrants to America are better educated than ever before
best and brightest some say.......problem is we aren't measuring the same thing
even our ****ty High Schools can be better than their best Colleges......etc, etc, etc, which also seems to be the case for India in my personal experiences.
On a personal level I have never met a single Indian that impressed me at math or engineering. Despite the stereotypes or what the stats say.....
So what to believe........who knows
I'm trying to normalize and standardize the measurements. Get us back to the same page inside the same book. The rest of the world is trying to blend and burn my results/experiments. Vanster throwing Chilton's VW manuals at me.
