Besides that, calling a coat "$690" is a misleading statement, which you would know if you'd ever shopped at a store. Stores consistently mark down their products by more than 50% of the list price, so in all likelihood he probably spent $200-300 on it.

I've never been a huge fan of the 21st century intervention policies. I was OK with the Afghanistan war initially, but we've overstayed our welcome (shoulda gotten out after getting OBL).
what do you expect will happen if parents have a choice in where they send their kids to school? as has been pointed out, there is at least some research that says charter schools don't fare much better if at all over public schools. if parents send their kids to better performing schools, the worse performing schools will get less money and will probably be shut down, or at best will do worse than before.
I just don't see how school vouchers is going to encourage underperforming schools do to better which should be the goal. Overpopulating better schools with students from worse schools is most likely only going to bring the better schools down and fuck up the worse ones. If you have an argument to the contrary, I'm all ears.
