I did some tests last year using two accounts. I have found each realm has a different population cap and different queue trigger. Not all of them hold the same number of people, and the older release realms tend to have a higher capacity than the newer realms. But yeah, the population spike was expected in my book. And so close to the holidays, it could end up being gifts to draw in more new players as well as bringing back cancelled accounts.

That was in response to DR saying theres no queue on Archimonde, because its a shitty server, you guys are going to end up being the top guild on it in no time.

We have a tooonnnnn of archimonde transfers on illidan, a good chunk of alot the guilds that were 4-5 deep in sunwell had several raiders from archimonde, everyone jumped ship ;o
