Your time is probably better spent figuring out why you're believing the few politicians and YT conspiracy theorists who are claiming that climate change is a myth and not the overwhelming majority of scientists who know what they're talking about...

I was reading today that in NSW several fires got much worse and took out property after the RFS did back burning to try and control the fires and those back burnings failed resulting in huge destruction. You can't have shitty tinder box houses surrounded in flammable eucalyptus etc. That is the stuff that goes up in flames. A great deal of the voters in the blue mountains and the NSW south coast are Green voting hippies. Blue mountains and the NSW south coast are where much of the devastation was in NSW. In fact you could overlay a Green voting map over the fire zones and with the exception of gospers mountain, and around the Warragamba dam.. in NSW they were in heavily Green voting areas. I'm surprised Balmain didn't have a fire. We have Greens here trying to stop the 10:50 land clearing rule that protects property. They have been opposed to 10:50 for years.
We did NOT do enough hazard reduction burning in the last 2 years. I live in a fire zone and am well aware of what goes on. I'm a keen mountain bike rider and mountain bike riding advocate so I see a great deal of the bushland surrounding my part of Sydney. It's loaded with fuel. Locally, we have locals wanting to volunteer to "rake the forest" near their houses and Greens complaining that it will harm habitat. Don't BS. We have excessive greens in NSW National Parks and Wildlife and they clearly have not being doing enough hazard reduction burning.
I'm surrounded by council bushland and NSWNPWS bushland and see what goes on. They can have all the arguments they like int he media and slap each other on the back but the end of the day the land managers did not maintain the vegetation adequately, regardless of excuses. The land managers are STATE, Local (CITY) and private, they are NOT national, and have little to do with Scomo. Greens and lefties use fires, like any chance to rip into right wing political leaders. We all know the crazy greens have been stifling hazard reduction burning for a very long time. By 'private' I am including the hippies in the shanty tinder box shitty place sin the south coast of NSW that were surrounded in flammable vegetation and too stoned to get out there and clear shit.
I also read last week they confirmed that just about every fire in Tasmania was the result of arson.
Where I live we get regular feeds about where hazard reduction burns will be. We get the occasional person complain, we get more complaints from greenies about habitat destruction, but we get far more residents complaining NOT enough hazard reduction is occurring.. fuel loads are too high. RFS is a big part of our community. We live this stuff. Main stream media can bugger around as much as they like and sell more advertising space by introducing controversy wherever possible but fact remains... most residents near me have been asking for MORE hazard reduction burning and concerns about fuel loads for years.

You're correct - most of TAS was arson. Most of the other states however, were not.
Agree that to combat climate change causing an environment more prone to severe bushfires, they need to address backburning and forest management to cater for those changes.
