all of the above but i usually let the thickness of the sauce dictate that. yucateco on a taco will pour a nice thick line across the entire thing. however, you can't really squeeze a glass bottle like you can with sriracha to make dabs and smileys. i like it hot enough to set off the endorphin alarm and stay that way for a good half hour. who wants to eat boring food? slather is just a disgusting word. please don't use it. i feel dirty.

At the high end, a drop or two mixed in is enough.
Soups - The heat never lets up. Hard challenge.
Pasta - Mix in one drop at a time to taste.

If you put too much hot sauce, it over powers everything. At the same time, the pain is addictive. At the lower level, I slather it on a sammich or whatever. That's why I put the hottest sauce in ranch dressing a few drops at a time. The ranch cools things down, otherwise it's all burn. Your tolerance to heat will slowly rise.

Had some Texas Pete sauteed-garlic hot sauce today for the first time.
Texas Pete | Garlic hot sauce by Texas Pete hot sauce brand

I usually avoid items like this, because adding garlic to something is usually a dumb fad gimmick.
But in this case, I really liked it. The garlic really gave it a great well rounded flavor.

Recommended.

Tried a few more sauces yesterday. Fell in love with Yucateco black. Good heat, good salt and good smoky flavor. It doesn't taste anything like chipotle (thank god). I personally don't care for roasted jalapeno. It's a bit strange to look at since the color is so dark but it's just the char from the roasted habanero. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

I'm going to try secret aardvark habanero and last dab next, if I can find it online.

Last Dab is few and far between according to Sean, only so many pepper x plants.
They are selling it for crazy prices on Ebay, but he advised to just keep checking for new stock on their site and not pay the flippers.

I subscribed to the Hot One's subscription, so I receive three from the show a month now. Here's my review of the first three I received this weekend (ignore the Bravado one)

Howler Monkey: B-
This one is unique to me as it's the only traditional Caribbean style sauce I've ever tried. It kicks off with a very nice flavor and has a nice kick of red scotch bonnet peppers.

Los Calientes: B+
This is Hot One's new branded sauce for the season. It reminds me very heavily of the https://heatonist.com/products/the-b...t=378283327497 but with a better flavor. Hotness is only about a 5.5/10 to me.

Ghost Pepper and Blueberry: A+
I've reviewed this one before and it's also not included in this season. I just hadn't had it in a while and needed a reminder of how much I love this one. ****ing A+ all day.

Hellfire: C+
I really enjoy the initial taste of this one which is very similar to Dawson's and Pain 100% if anyone has tried either of those. It's probably my next hottest right behind Dave's Insanity and has a very ****ing long after taste where your lips just want to burn in hell. This is a dick measuring sauce essentially.

Across these three, I really can see Los Calientes being great on eggs in the morning. Throw some Howler Monkey on nearly anything wanting a slight kick with some unique flavor. Ghost Pepper and Blueberry, ya'll already know. Save the Hellfire for large batches of chili or when you have friends over interested in some of your spicier side of the collection.

That is all until next month.

My tastes have changed a lot for sure man. The level of some of these sauces consistently change your complete flavor palette.. The Lime Cholula flavor stayed, and I thank you for your recommendation as it is now one of the staples to my collection.

I usually add 3 or 4 whole garlic bulbs to my hot soss. Some types complement the spice very well, especially if you get into some of the extremely spicy garlics with high allicin levels such as the Siberian hardneck variety. You've gotta add it towards the very end if you want to keep it spicy, or it will mellow out when you're cooking things down.

I had that one two nights ago at a mexican place. I really liked it. It has a smokey flavor and some good heat

I've always liked hot sauces but really got into them a few years back with Dave's Insanity and whatnot. I've branched out since then, especially with Hot Ones providing me a constant stream of new sauce to try. In no particular order:

- Dave's Hurtin' Habanero: B. Pretty good, not too hot, just enough to spice up stuff like chili or eggs.

- Tobasco: A+. Perfect on eggs. Never too hot.

- Dave's Insanity: C-. This used to be my gold standard for "hot", but it's made from extract, and doesn't have much flavor. It's fine if you want to light up your chili.

- Dave's Temporary Insanity: C. It's hot. Works as advertised, goes away quickly. No real flavor.

- Dave's Cool Cayenne: B. Somewhat tasty. Decent cayenne flavor, not a lot of heat to speak of.

- Dave's Roasted Garlic: A-. Excellent garlic flavor, no heat. My kid loves to put this in his chili, it makes him feel like a badass.

- Bravado Blueberry + Ghost Pepper: A-. Excellent flavor, and an almost perfect level of heat. Great on wings.

- Blair's Death Sauce: A+. Absolutely delicious and great on a ton of different things. It's hotter than tobasco but nowhere near the middle of the road sauces.

- BW3 Spicy Garlic: B+. Great garlic flavor, very tangy, not very hot. Also great on wings.

- BW3 Hot: A-. Awesome tangy buffalo flavor and enough heat to get the tears streaming.

- Pepper Palace King Reaper: A+. Absolutely delicious, carrot based sauce with a wonderful reaper taste. Quite hot, but a teaspoon in a bowl of soup is spectacular. Goes great on chili too.

- Hot Ones Fiery Chipotle: A+. Amazing flavor, packs a decent amount of heat. Great on anything even remotely Mexican. Spices up a burger wonderfully.

- Mad Dog 357: C+. It's ridiculously hot. If that's what you want, this does it. Not a whole lot of flavor but there's something there.

- Da Bomb: D. 135,000 SHU of nothing but extract. It tastes terrible and because it's extract it comes across a LOT hotter than 135,000. It's literally hotter than 357.

- Dave's Ghost Pepper: Unrated. At 640,000 SHU I'm still too chicken to try it.

Jalapeno peppers, Serrano peppers, and banana peppers.

Salt, red onions and white onions

8 heads of garlic, a few tomatoes, 3 naval oranges, a bowl full of ground cherries

Add a cup of vinegar, a cup of water, and 8oz of lime juice. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 20 mins.

Immersion blender and hot water can the whole batch in ball jars!

HOT SOSS
