1) I agree.
2) People were posting pics of his family. Thread for info: http://www.tribalwar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=442401
Edit: I think you should write-up the introduction, at least. You would be able to give the best overview of how TW started. Also, the early stuff would probably require your input.

Host it! The wiki software is all freeware/GDFL whatever. It would be a pretty cool resource. The only downside is that it is fairly processor intensive from what I hear.

I guess that explains the request I got from some random internet girl to delete pictures of her posted on the site. I deleted the message so I can't be sure.
edit: I don't think I'll have time to write it in the necessary time frame. I'm shipping my laptop off for repairs tomorrow and may only have access at work for a week.
Since Wikipedia is all about neutral points of view, linking to things I've said will be necessary rather than me posting a statement about why TW started as uncited fact in an article. You can't say 'Tribalwar was started' you have to say 'whomever, co-creator or tribalwar, says tribalwar was started because, "blah blah"(1) where 1 would link to a post or interview or news post or something. I think anyway. I don't know much about wikipedia.

I think that the random chick is an unrelated fatty from a different thread.
The challenge here is to develop the concepts that are unique and notable very quickly. I think that an internal wiki that everyone could develop would be great for all of the cultural **** on here that wikipedia won't care about, but for the wikipedia, we have a completely different hurdle in order to be relevant. I think that all we need to do is expound and annotate the really solid stuff, and once it is established and reviewed, we can add to it later as long as we maintain those standards.

Like I said, you can use Tribalwar/Temp as a page to work on the article, if you're going to undertake a total rewrite.

Couldn't Marweas et al. be some use for the external references? I recall Sierra basically doing a hell of a lot of focus grouping here through him and others, which impacted (if perhaps not successfully) the development of T:V and its features. If Marweas or any other Sierra refugees had some external sources on development decisions that were made based upon TW members' input, that might be one external source that will help satisfy the wiki criteria

Also, I think TW was instrumental in the rise of shoutcasting . . .

That was WOFN.
Which came about years after TSN & WSBN.

Somone just needs to write an article on TW and then use that article as a source for all the wiki stuff.

Would the forum invasion of the WTOTC be viable to this?
