I have a friend who grows in California, he is re-building his garage grow.
Doing a 12'x18' sealed room in his garage for CO2. He will be running 12-600w lights through these hoods... growlite® Innovative & Energy Efficient Indoor Gardening Lighting Solutions
The hydrostore he got them from did a PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) test and essentially, a 400w HPS in this hood, gives off the same PAR reading that a 1000w HPS bulb does in a 8" XXXL Raptor hood (the industry standard at this point), in a 3x3 footprint.
This hood has such intense reflection that you must keep it 18-24inches above your canopy or you will burn your plants.
Unbelievable technology, can't wait to see how it works for him.
