no, no i DON'T want to live in the manner my retirement would allow me to live (nowhere near the coast) in California (have you seen all the deserts we have?)

TIDBIT

I like twice a day showers,
turning on faucets and watching the water trying to remember why i'm standing in front of the sink,
and my wife likes me to water plants
(which i do while enjoying two days ago...
i digress
which many people did

These 'atrocities' cost me ~$250/mo mas o menos in Oceanside, CA
I just paid our second monthly water bill here in Otay, TJ, Mexico
~$25.

had a stroke
on both sides/temporal lobes of the brain
3 wks in now
things are 'slightly' better
drama
we might end up taking care of her in Mexico

I won't retire this year
?sometime next year?
to hang out to help along

daughter going to a grad school
in California
so...
a few more months to help out

I thought this was an itemised list at first, and I thought, wow, pretty cool to just slip in your stroke in third place.

anyway, hopefully you can get her 'taken care of' in Mexico, I'm sure they will do it for a lot cheaper than in the US.

I was in Mazatlan a couple weeks ago. Flew over there from TJ airport. Drove the truck and our trailer back. The roads are getting to be very nice almost all the way down and back. My wife's truck driving brother-in-law has also clued me into a couple shortcuts that bypass cities...

Pretty sure I'm gonna be like my parents when I'm retiring. Chained down by grandchildren and unable to ever leave. Fuck.

lol ok.... Not sure how those two locations are even in competition.

Isn't Hawaii hugely expensive? Go to Costa Rica and live like a king on the same $$?
