T:V Buckler:
1. When held, deflects projectiles.
2. When held, repulses players, and possibly other objects.
3. Can be thrown, thereby making it a projectile weapon.
4. Can be guided in flight, and returns like a boomarang.
UT Shield Gun:
1. Blocks/Reflects projectiles.
2. Shoots a shockwave, close-range attack.
3. Can help break falls/take falling damage.
They both can block projectiles in a limited arc. Other then that, they have no similarities. Now, even though this is their "primary" use, in UT the shield gun is rarely used for that, its used more for its secondary fire. This is one way they probably WILL be similar, in that the Buckler will probably be fired and/or used to launch players more than to deflect projectiles. Other then that, they have no similarity.
