This is the thread where the right has been crying maniacally about people kneeling. I'm just an observer.

was wondering when they would get around to just removing the national anthem from NFL games.

network censorship though, uh yeah that's going to do the trick.

Guys, our frothy outrage and jersey burning definitely taught those entitled athletes a lesson.

Guys, these athletes are all falling in line. They all quit kneeling thanks to our fist shaking and jersey burning.

Let's chalk this one up as a win.

You do not **** on the game of football. My opinion? **** race. **** God and **** you too. This is football. You do not **** on the game of football. Especially if it is your way of life. It is a warriors game that should be played and honored as such. From top to bottom this game has been gutted and is now mostly in the hands of those who do not deserve it.

statement from team prior to game:

Quote:
***8220;At its purest level, football is a unifier of people from all walks of life, different socio-economic backgrounds, every corner of this country and around the world. As players, coaches, ownership and staff, we are privileged to work in an environment that is a tremendous example of how people can come together for a common goal. We not only put our differences aside, but we also use them to achieve that common goal by challenging each other to be better ***8212; both in our professional and personal lives.

***8220;For more than a year, members of our team have protested the oppression and social injustices still present in our society. While some may not have taken a knee or raised a fist, we have all shared the desire to influence positive change. Today, our team chose to publicly display our unity in a new way and, in turn, urge others do the same. Our demonstration is simply a representation of how we hope our country can also come together by putting differences aside and solving its problems.

***8220;As the majority of us have done throughout our careers, we use our platform as members of a NFL team, and our right to freedom of expression, to speak up for those whose voice is not heard. It is important that we continue to emphasize that despite our different backgrounds and beliefs, we still love each other and are truly a brotherhood. Our gesture today was an intentional effort to demonstrate that. Make no mistake, we love this great country and have tremendous respect for our military and veterans who have sacrificed so much for our right to express ourselves freely. We passionately want what is best for this country and all its citizens.

***8220;On behalf of the San Francisco 49ers organization, we urge our fellow citizens to embrace your differences, find strength in them, and come together for the good of all.***8221;

Yeah - SF is trying to spin it. You do not **** on football. You do not let that **** on the field. You unify by example. They can do that off the field on their own time or extra time. Not during game time. Not during our time. **** all these asshats. May they burn in the guilt of ****ing up. Spin spin spin, baby. They are all a bunch of asshats who do not understand or respect the game or how to conduct themselves. They think they are just like a celebrity who uses the stage to further their political or personal views. You go to see a few songs and then you end up listening to the asshat mumbling a bunch of stupid ****. Most of their message should be conveyed in their music - that is why people bought tickets to see the music - not the semi-coherent blithering between the songs.

Any NFL player who considers themselves a celebrity or something special is wrong.

now they are really going to cry it out

the fact it got to this level is so beyond sad and cringe worthy

maybe they should fine them for further doing this and any money can go to their favorite charity...........we can watch them put that money where their empty gestures are that way

I'm pretty sure about the same number of players are kneeling as there have been since the beginning of the season. The only reason there was a bump last week was Trump decided to **** on people's first amendment rights at a campaign rally in Alabama.

It's pretty much business as usual, but if it makes you feel better to call it a win, more power to you.
