So, What did I miss?

Biggest events? Lets see ....

ASCN got completely obliterated.

Goons and Red Alliance are sleeping with each other along with D2, MM and several other alliances. All are going after BoB and friends right now.

Super capital ships are here and in force. Titans and motherships are factors in nearly every major fleet engagement now.

Barry came out of the closet.

BoB went in and basically tore them up over a few months period. Atm FREE is with "The Coalition" aka anti-BoB. Basically EVE is polarizing at the moment. You're either with BoB or against although my alliance (MC) would beg to differ regarding that philosophy heh. We're trying to stay neutral in this but we'll see.

Why not accept a contract against BoB, or better yet so as not to risk those capitals one of the BoBpet regions.

The MC mothership in ED- says differently.

They'd probably only accept a contract against BoB if the price was worth the loss of their outposts. That's a fairly huge amount of isk.

Here lies the problem.

I haven't ventured into 0.0 at all so far due to lack of time (damn twars.net, can't wait for us to get #1 so I can retire and spend more time in eve or real life)

It cost MC a lot to turn against BoB. MC likes to claim neutrality and do whatever they can. However, it seems they are unable to go against BoB :) Seriously, one solution is to move outpost/pos from bob space to an alliance that's going to hire them against BoB. If Seelene and other MC is willing to publically state that....and then do it...that may restore some faith.

On the other hand, it seems BoB Alt is everywhere, makes me wonder how much eve is non-bob :) I'm getting more and more skeptical of all those bobbits defending bob are actually individual players, rather than BoB alt. This is sad :(

Furthermore, I thought twars.net's admins were biased and bad, it seems CCP is worse.

you've missed the best drama to ever hit a video game

but you haven't yet missed the best war to ever hit a video game

so in conclusion play the stupid video game

MC is in no way shape or form neutral in this, by their own decision or not. AAA definitely forced their hand, but it's pretty obvious as BoB assists in MC space, and MC assists against coalition forces outside of their own territories, that the lines were drawn well before this all started.

Move outposts? Eh?

Buying out the worth of those outposts...in arguably the best region in space.

Be worth ALOT of isk, soo much soo that I doubt anyone would fork over the 200billion+ price tag of buying MC.

They're highly organized and can add alot of muscle to a conflict, but they're still only 300 pilots. That's increasingly becoming a negligible amount giving the numbers involved on the sides in this conflict.

Capitals aside, ofc.

Yea goons alone warping in 1000 pilots to a system while having 600 in reserve and going up against LV, 300 does seem kinda small.

I've been living down in Fountain for the last 4 weeks being a general pain in the ass for BoB. It's been fun.

Duck, incoming wall of text while my dinner is cooking.

AAA and Razor kicking some of our POSes into reinforced mode definitely brought us officially on to BoB's side. I've said this a dozen times already but MC would have been happy to stay the fuck out of this war completely. Yes, we had a northern contract but ffs we can't take any contract these days without someone from the war being involved. Regardless, had J8 or our cyno-chain POSes not been fucked with odds are we would have stayed out. Call bullshit if you want. People said the same thing about the BoB\ASCN war but their tinfoil hats failed them.

As for BoB assisting the MC yes, they did. AAA packs about 900ish pilots vs the MC at around 300. If you think we're going to sit back and fight 3:1 odds with the opposing side there ONLY to take on our capital fleet without any support you're smoking some serious crack. AAA has a hardon to take on our cap fleet because we have one of the nastier ones in game but there are limits to what we can do. Anyone who knows the MC well enough can tell you that. We're shock troops, specialists, whatever ... we're not front line grunts. Never have been.

Now, as for BoB ... long story short: MC needed a 0.0 home for their future plans (cap ships, self sustaining etc), talked with people, BoB had the most stable area and the best "offer". Every other alliance wanted us to commit to their space via taxes, defense, etc etc. BoB said "J8 is open, it's yours". They get an alliance that knows how to fight well and guard the area. By guard I mean "MC likes hunting pirates" btw. FWIW BoB likes the MC for what we do and how we conduct ourselves. While I don't know the fine details of the agreement I believe they get so much "free" contract time per year. Details beyond that I don't have nor is it my place to go into them.

Keep in mind also that while BoB might currently be the devil they weren't this time last year. In fact a lot of people liked them and looked up to them. So now that times have changed our good choice at the time is being redefined by armchair quarterbacks with 20\20 hindsight to boot. Meanwhile the "good guys" are who ... Goonswarm? Something Awful smack talkers with that asshat Remedial at the helm are the good guys? Eve population has memory issues and is definately fickle. I guess they don't remember all the Goon bs from last year. At least BoB have a vested interest in Eve. Goons just want another tick on their MMO "p0wn-o-meter" except Eve didn't let them.

Anyways back to the MC. We're in a situation of "we're fucked if we do and fucked it we don't" at the moment.

We help BoB and they win = alienating a lot of future clients but we keep our home.
We help BoB and they lose = alienating a lot of future clients and we lose our home.
We stay neutral = Either BoB or The Coaliation boots us aka we lose our home.
We help Coalition and they win = We keep our home and alienate the pro-BoB half of Eve.
We help Coalition and they lose = alienating pro-BoB half of Eve and we lose our home.

Ultimately MC will land on its feet just fine though imho. If we "win" the war we'll keep taking contracts and having fun with it. There's always right industrialists who like seeing shit blow up or yes, believe it or not the general population of Eve still likes MC and will pay us to kill shit on their behest. If we lose the war and our home then we're back to empire with no questions of neutrality hovering over our heads. Contracts will roll in like the waves. In either event, we'll do what we do best. Blow crap up and get paid for it.

Why am I telling all you monkeys this? Because beyond Eve we're Twar monkeys and that > *. So fuall. :D

meh, BoB's 'vested interests' in Eve don't seem all the benevolent. The original flap over the Goons being evil seemed pretty 'convenient.'

Not saying RAGoons intentions are any better, but meh.
