yeah, thingfish is still with us in the west and I saw thingfish signed up for W45 or something.

Although I never set alarm clock to get up just for tribalwars, I did, however, still plan and ran battles whiel I was sick....argh, I don't want to admit that now but that was one huge time sink :(

On the positive side, tribalwars helped me to stay awake when I was pulling all nighter to sign for exam and dodge attacks on w4. Without tribalwars to keep my adrenaline going, I probably would've fell asleep.
 
I wish I had followed through playing world 1, I missed so much fun.

So basically I should resource farm for now, right? Is there any way to know how long I have before my shield runs out and I can get attacked?
 
i'm not touching that game as long as turtles can make nobles faster than offensive players. AFAIK, they never fixed the game after they got rid of the local noble bundles.
 
if i was working full time i'd probably do it again. it's great for people who have jobs and don't do shit.

I had the same name in-game, and iirc I was a pretty big thorn in TW's side for a while. (Was on the RoBAc side)

I got accused of cheating a lot, which I never did. I just had a very, very good micromanager neighbour who didn't talk to anyone but me and constantly kept spread sheets of how many troops he had and would send them wherever I needed them immediately.

(His in-game name was Alucardeck, he would just noble tonnes and tonnes of abandoned villages and grow them into full sized villages overnight)

grepolis.net appears to be live. I was able to sign up for world "alpha" just now. Couldn't sign up last night so I'm going to assume it went live. the west guys are going south west.

already don't like the game much. $15 a month to have all of the "premium" options. They aren't THAT good but good enough to turn the tide of a battle since you can get 2x20% battle bonus.

I also really don't like that you can pay to cut construction times in half... that's pretty bullshit.

well it falls back to the invest time or money to be good argument and the prices aren't bad if you want to commit to 5 months($6 a month or $3 if you buy now since they are doubling your order for free)
 
Might not matter if we can get enough guys to just mob enemies en masse. Definitely retarded that you can pay for battle bonuses though.

I don't think I was ever attacked. I was on K64 and surrounded by a whole lot of hyper-aggressive TW. We basically had the whole continent and the closest RoBAC target to me was like 27 hours away.
