Has anyone here played The Witcher 1 with the Full Combat Rebalance (FCR) mod?

Is it any better? (I haven't played it at all yet).

u get surrounded, face 6+ guys, and can only block one direction. they surround you and you take 5 hits ur dead.

says im level 2 but when i try to level up i cant spend my points

In hard mode you have to use potions or you're gonna get wrecked. If you're in a really tough spot, then pop a Blizzard potion and you should be fine. If you have that many people on you, always use the Group fighting style (hit c once your sword is drawn)

Also, you can use Aard or whatever the wind move is to knock them down for an insta-kill.

To spend points you gain by leveling up, you have to meditate by a fire (or when you're talking to some people you can select "I'll rest here for a while and prepare")

I'm dling #2 right now. Trying to finish up my 2nd playthrough of the first before I start it though.

I forgot how badass this game was. Puts anything Bioware has done recently to shame.

i never really played witcher 1 so i was trying to get by on sword combat

turns out i had to spam a defense spell and all my items to get past that area

it was part of the tutorial and they dont even tell u what any of ur spells do, so i had no idea i even had a defense spell

witcher 2 is great, plot is similar to game of thrones, and yea the cinematics/plot/dialogue is on a level or two higher than anything bioware has put out

Witcher is just like Dragon Age except actually done well.

This blows morrow wind out the window. And when surrounded, you have a "group" style that hits everyone around you with heavy knock back. Well at least you did in Witcher 1. I leveled those up first and fought everything in large groups. You can also light them all up with flame first and watch them burn as you wrek them.

I also got the pre-order TF2 items hair, sword and medallion for scout.

So I've died like 15 times to the dragon fire in the first 1 minute of the game. What the ****? Am I retarded or something?

The Scout sword is great.

Camp > Melee > shoot while they bleed out > health pickup > repeat

Doesnt this one have quick time events?
