I still have mine. I got mine for donating to some kind of charity thing (tsunami or maybe katrina) thing via TW.
 
First thoughts were that this is a shit idea, but on reflection.... sounds fair.

Also, you can still search using Tribalwar Liquid.

hmm, really the only time I ever searched was when people posted ofn so I could rub it in their face. I may pony up for the donation anyway though.

Have to say though it is kinda lame to infract people for ofn when they have no means of searching. That is basically a strongarm move.

9/10 people don't search before posting anyway (i have actual logs of all the searches, we use them to build the autofill ajax on the search page) I think that's just the best excuse that could be thought up.

eh, fair enough then. I guess I am that 1 in 10. On the admittedly very rare occasion that I created a thread, I would search first.

And then usually get called for ofn anyway :lol:
 
Contributing is like tipping. Why pay someone for just doing what they do? It's not our fault the ads don't pay you enough.

Somebody posted the most frequent search terms or something like that awhile ago actually.

Many of the terms were posters names believe it or not.

He released Tribes Vista Fix so tribes1 worked with Vista.

He discovered quickly how to crash servers and later released Dos Fix so people couldn't crash servers.

Helped find loopholes in Lasthope to prevent cheating.

Helped modders, answered various questions for people about tribes coding.

Andrew, NoFiX and a few others were the only people who actually had a deep understanding of Tribes source etc and how it worked.

Back to topic at hand, I agree w/ Rayn overall though on his decision
