[So] Do people still watch the Simpsons

I stopped about 12 years ago. Can't believe it's still on but I'm glad it is, one day I'll go back and watch the ones I missed and hopefully laugh some.
 
Haven't seen an episode in forever. Used to love them, even some of the seasons into the teens, but once most of the writers bailed it kind of fell apart.
 
I got my issue for Richard Avedon's pictures of Lenny.

Yeah it's kind of heart wrenching to turn on a new episode of The Simpsons and hardly laugh once..But you have to realize that it's going to "evolve" like any other show, whether it's for the best or for the worst.

It's up to the producers to know when to quit while you're ahead, which is exactly why Cowboy Bebop only has 26 episodes, that series is a fucking masterpiece. (I haven't seen the movies).

you stopped watching the Simpsons in 1997?

wow, you missed out... there's almost 5 years of really good episodes after that. in general, I believe the funny started to go away once Maude Flanders was killed off.
