Whatever! What about the year a few teams were all in the Crosby running? Every other team with a chance finished outside the top 10 except the Jackets.
Then the next year they finish 2nd and get Malkin. Too bad they missed on AO.

they drafted malkin before they drafted sid. also, malkin was #2 the year that OV was drafted #1 when the pens had the best chance for the top pick.
Ovechkin gets away with just as much, if not more.
He's one of the dirtier players in the league. If you ever watch him away from the puck, he's a little bastard, and he regularly leaves his feet when making hits.

Go back and lick Bettman's ass some more. The Pens are the luckiest fucking team in the draft.
bad teams get good picks...their draft position reflected where they finished in the standings. they were dead last for several years. if anything, the system worked the way that it was supposed to.
