Lawrence O'Donnell calls Ron Paul a systematic liar, gets proven wrong on every accusation. Great to watch the MSM crumble into obscurity as it desperately tries to hang on to relevancy by silencing the truth.

I have a question that maybe some of you legal types might be able to answer:
What determines how counsel is assembled when a public defender must be used?
Point being, I think this guy has a legal team of four lawyers now (including at least one very high profile one), paid for by the public. If I were in a regular case and couldn't afford a lawyer I'd be appointed some regular joe-schmo, but in this case the guy has top notch talent and doesn't pay a dime. Does anyone know how this works?
Not a sarcastic question, just curious about the process.

I'm no legal expert and haven't been following the media circus over this, but I would imagine high profile lawyers might want to take the case pro bono in order to get publicity or whatever other bonuses they might get for defending someone in a high profile case.

The media is paying for it. The media will get insane ratings and views for these high profile cases.

Lawyers are required or encouraged to work x hours a year pro bono by different states' bar associations. In this case I believe he has his court-appointed public defender who is paid (very little money) by the public defender's office. On top of that he has legal experts working pro bono. These are often experts who hold university faculty positions. If the 'top notch' talent you're talking about is the woman who also defended the Unabomber, the Giffords shooter and others, she's a death penalty specialist who I'm gonna go ahead and guess is generally anti-death penalty.

In addition, the prosecution wants him to have a full and competent defense to avoid mistrial and appeals ad-nauseum.

In another development, federal agents, state troopers and local law enforcement officers scoured a wooded area near Dartmouth, Mass., where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev attended college. Investigators are looking for possible evidence that might indicate the brothers tested explosives there, according to a law enforcement official. Residents in the vicinity had reported hearing loud noises coming from the woods on March 30.

I gotta say, that guy with the long hair for info wars is one level headed dude as far as keeping his cool. Unlike Alex Jones, who is entertaining as hell, but goes off the deep end with a cinder block tied to his ankle.
