Best freeware programs?

rAdmin is a really good alternative to VNC. Instead of taking snapshots, it actually hooks the Windows API's and gives complete control without a slow-down like VNC (I think). Unfortunately it's Shareware (but it's worth the time spent searching for a crack).
Piracy ban.

coolplayer - winamp alternative with freeform skins that runs faster and doesn't conflict with XP
njstar communicator - good program for viewing/writing asian languages (technically not freeware, but registering it doesn't make a difference)
wc3 master - a must have if you play warcraft 3, views info from replay files

Unfortunately its not available on MS's website right now but if guys can score a copy of "Bootvis.exe" its a great little program for boosting your startup times. Used to take my system a minute or two on bootups. Its now down to around 30 seconds, no joke.

Any way to run this without a command line or editing shortcut properties? The refresh rates are painful on some of the computers at school and I'd love to be able to change them but they have a lot of stuff disabled. No new shortcuts and no run dialog among other things.

batch file.

NFO Viewer is a really good NFO viewer, which is much easier to read/open than trying to read NFO's in Notepad.
No it's not. Open My Computer. Tools>Folder Options>File Types. Scroll down to NFO and change the program that opens it to notepad.

That changes the association for .nfo files from the Window System Information program to notepad.
