Mass Effect 2

We actually did some statistics gathering, and something like 40% of players quit playing not long after reaching the Citadel on ME1. Nearly 100% that got past it, though, played until the end.

So we worked hard to even those numbers out. According to playtests the beginning of ME2 is doing a much better job of keeping the players interested this time around.

I'm hoping Steam has a ME1/2 combo sale (missed out on the Christmas deal for it). Kinda want to play the first one b4 the second.

So do i need an internet connection to be able to install and play this one? Or can i remain unconnected from the internet and install and play...my internet connection at home is off for the moment.

Throw me an early copy and I'll let you know exactly how it compares to the first one. :boogie:

Fuck the haters, the Citadel was easily the best part of the game. Anyone who didn't like it probably just isn't into RPGs.

This sequel is awesome. I'm definitely gonna buy it when it's in stores.

I want the nice manual and shit.

The only thing that sucks is I want to keep going through all the dialogues - renegade and paragon - but you kinda can't do both always.

I'm also not sure if I wanted to import my character from ME1 or start a new one. But I imported my Shepherd from ME1 for now.

That's why you play it twice.

The first time around, I played as myself (Paragon) ... always doing the noble thing.

The second time around, I played as my wife (Renegade) ... always being a complete cunt to everyone.

(Her way is more fun.)

I couldn't get through the first game a 2nd time. I doubt I'll be able to do it for the 2nd game.

How long does it take to complete the first one?

I started it but I'm also suffering from the "this shit is boring" still at the citadel (sp?) playing CSI investigator or whatever.

i had the same issue the sidequests and running around is a real drag...but, if you just bust through the main quest its pretty bearable. and the storyline was really enjoyable to me. once you learn to use your force powers and stuff you can run through the game for the most part. or at least i could.

if i play ME2, i need to get a new vid card. I could barely run ME1 with my 7950GTO :(

Yeah, I feel you on that. I'm actually still only 1/4 the way through my second time playing it.

Probably will never finish now that the sequel is here.

Last game I went with soldier. I kinda want to go Biotic.

It's nice that if you import your character you can change classes still.
