He's like my own personal Mr Hyde. We share similar political views and somewhat similar musical ones, but where I'm really reserved publicly, he's caustic and funny. I always found him amusing and 90% (or so) of the time right on target with his arguments.

...and I doubt he's more into music, heh - unless he does it as a living too.

Yes, that's why I enjoyed his posts. He had the attitude of a surly kid, but the brains of a smart guy. (like you or I)

I don't believe he's doing music for a living, but he was really into jazz guitar last I heard. Pat Methaney and the like.
