[1.40]2 Configs with AfterHope - No ScriptGL

There are a few people out there that for whatever reason can't run ScriptGL configs, or want something a little more fancy than the stock 1.40 install but nothing too script crazy

Here are two configs i made recently, one inspired by opsayos config, and another by mine

Basic config:





Groove config, 5 styles to chose from instantly ingame - of course this is the one i'd use



Neither use ScriptGL, both have a few skins, textures etc

They're designed to be light on code, pretty looking and tweaked for play - just extract, click on Tribes.exe (or TribesAfterHope.exe) and come play!

Try 'em out for me and see if you like 'em

i'm open to suggestions and future changes

(small note - the repkit in my config will only change color when the itemhud updates - i use a grenade to trigger the change)

small list of some of the skins/stuff added:
-a simple, new health/nrg bar with outline and a switch for turning on/off the backdrops
-changed the stock itemhud to show grenades as blue dots (instead of mines)
-sexxxgodsteves chain and grenade launcher skins
-broast disc launcher
-my clear blue grenade smoke/explosion and blue grenades
-new BE/DS emblems & flags (TA emblems, previously unreleased)
-my lushDML (sized 128x) and elfs marsDML (sized 256x)
-a few skies but defnitely not all
-clientside explosions set to false (shows less fakies)
-added remoteEP for 1.4 (thx alriks) (groove config only)
-createservergui with much bigger map selection box (credit to greyhound)
-rasadhlp autoloading everything in /plugins (no shortcuts needed)
-'groove' version is only about 150 lines of code longer so dont worry about it having more overhead

- removed HMCrasher, added TribesAfterHope.exe (original Tribes.exe still there so remember which one to click)
-added nogreenlines plugin to both
-added autokit to groov config

Although i can run ScriptGL, i find it kind of buggy for me for whatever reason. But these are nice.

also i'd like to brag that there shouldn't be any console errors on startup. i cleaned up a few scripts, removed a few calls to files that dont exist, removed some functions that were defined twice

even some little dumb things like put comments in blank files (like, if banlist.cs is empty it throws and error, but if there's a comment, like " //omg banlist " it doesn't)

which pub server uses hmcrasher, or is it just for pu?

also can we get this in arghs duel? would make AUTH 100x more awesome

it is used on baby LT and no, you probably won't get it on any other server.

well argh is missing IRL but i have a feeling lestat would love to implement this. he already is editing some shit to implement assists so its good timing anyway.

who are you in game? ill let him know u hold the secrets to antihack if i see him first.

tbh hmc is made only for hm, ppl still have other cheats + someone probably already bypassed it.

still, HM is so prevalent that people have gotten completely casual with it and barely hide it, if at all.

if someone does bypass this do the right thing and tell opsayo how to fix. fuckers need to turn off hacks and see the game is much more tense and fun when you have to actually pay attention. radar make you lazy, hm make you bad.

hm is the worst for the game, any of the other 'cheats' dont have anywhere near the same effect (and really what's out there, happyflag? bleh)

and i might be being naive here, but imo there aren't many people left capable of bypassing it, and those that are capable can hopefully be trusted not to distribute whatever method they use

i don't think its even difficult enough to be interesting for someone like nofix and mj to bypass it

disk likes to talk a big game though
