look at this from a different perspective. coal companies are so concerned about their profit margins that they won't think twice about polluting our glorious nation if it means saving a buck here or there. putting a coal lobbyist in charge of the EPA enables coal companies to get away with shady practices at the expense of our land. sure some coal executives stand to make more money out of this deal but at what cost. how is that good for ordinary Americans?

OK, so - I will give CA credit for an innovative anti-global warming strat. Friction causes heat. The earth is spinning and trees cause air resistance. A totally bald earth would create less friction when it spins. So, by getting rid of the trees, that reduces friction and therefore heat on the earth. I get it now. Still though, that black carbon release. Maybe more hybrids can put a dent in that. Maybe friction-less hybrids. Maybe a height and air resistance co-efficient tax? We can work together.

But this wasn't lightning. It was power companies operating in CA. With contracts to do so. One on probation for causing issues in the past. In the middle of a bunch of uncleared tinder. Negligent. Just negligent. And dirty. Just a dirty way to live. Look at all that carbon emission. Worst in the world at the moment. Monumental. Also, it was so dry because CA re-routed all the water in the entire state to save an extinct fish. Also, to drive out farmers and lower real-estate prices so that it can be abandoned and resold for pennies on the dollar. CA has weaponized water, fire and air.
 
Its doesn't matter that tinder would have burned naturally if the rich didnt stop natural burns. 4 of 5 smaller natural burns or one big crazy burn same net co2 release.

That's like saying that murder doesn't exist because we all die. Even Mexico is not on fire all the time. The middle east also does a great job of controlling large scale fires.

high speed electric train, that has been delayed because land owners wont sell.

power companies have admitted fault in over 80% of cali fires in last 2yrs...
