So I've been reading about this whole controversy about EA and Steam's conflict with one another regarding DLC content and the such. It really seems as if both are doing what's best in their interest and looking out for themselves. I'm doubtful we'll even see BF3 on Steam at this point... but come on, as one person said, "All I know is that, as a consumer, I do not want to have multiple gamestore-apps installed on my computer." (Nocall)
I couldn't agree more, its annoying, I don't want to have more than I have to have installed to run a single game. Already we have Steam, Impulse, Comrade (Direct2Drive) and now Origin. At this rate I'll have to have a separate program for each publisher out there.
So one of you programming monkeys out there reading this, hop to it, and start making that mega-gaming app that will run Steam, Origin, etc. all under one flag. Something that will mask the default interface/overlay in and out of my games (in the same manner as Shift+Tab for Steam but with a universal interface and [better] community features). I want ONE program that handles it all and to be honest I'm surprised Google hasn't dabbled with this yet considering they tend to carry that motto. Hell, I was never a big fan of Xfire but I think they had it right.
Profit.
