6.5 mm ammo has become quite reasonable in price. why would it be a waste?

Never heard of Bergara. It looks like a nice rifle and a good price. I see they have the option of using the Magpul mags, so that's a plus.

I have a R700 in .308 WIN. It's the factory Magpul edition and I like it, but I've never had it out very far so I can't say it's an obvious winner of the 3 you listed. I got an amazing deal on it.

If you have Ruger Precision Rifle money I'd say go for that. It has a few clear advantages over the other two, and Ruger has a great track record for accuracy and build quality -- something I can't really say about Remington since they were bought up by Freedom Group in 2015. Ruger wins in my opinion.

Remington 700's are fine rifles, though they have been known to have trigger issues. Put a good aftermarket trigger in it and its outstanding.

An M1 in 308 is a pretty good rifle too. A little heavy though

Ive had some recent xp with the .300 win mag. It shoots fairly flat, and is accurate as hell out to 800+ yards, with just a average scope.

Its easier to get .338 lapua in Calgary than it is to .22lr a lot of times...

1863 meters is my best hit on a human target with a Sig SSG 3000 in .338 lapua
